Starcraft 2 Protoss Units
The T-280 Space Construction Vehicle, or SCV is the Terran worker unit that can gather minerals and vespene gas that are essential to your economy prosper, can also build Terran structures and repair (some top players says that repair is imba, especially on Thors ) Terran mechanical constructs and buildings. He's a biological and mechanical unit, so medvac can heal him and he can be repaired!Minerals: 50 Vespene: 0HP:45.Range: MeleeDamage:5(+ 1 per upgrade)Shield:0(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Light - Biological.Requeriment:Command Center.Especial Abilities: Can Build Structures. Marines are the first and perhaps the main fighting unit of terran players, he's very versatile because it can shoot ground and air units. The major weakness of marines is AoE damage as Siege Tanks, Colossi, etc.
The terran Behemoth-class battlecruiser has a staggering 500 hit points; no other standard game unit tops this margin. This makes the battlecruiser the only non-hero unit in the game able to withstand a nuclear strike, which do 500 damage thus allowing the battlecruiser to survive with minimal HP.
But the shields upgrade cover him a lot. Well he is good unit mainly when he has stim pack and the shields upgrade especially with medvacs healing him from behind!Good against: Immortal, Hydralisk, Marauders, Tanks (normal mode).Weak against:Tanks (Siege mode), Collosi (large numbers), baneling.Minerals: 50 Vespene: 0HP:45 (55 with shields upgrade).Range: Ranged 5Damage:6(+ 1 per upgrade)Shield:0(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Light - Biological.Requeriment:Barracks.Especial Abilities: Stim Pack. Marauders is a quite strong unit, it has life, considerable damage, a passive skill and yet got the marine's stim pack that gives him attack and moviment speed. His passive skill concussive shells is amazing on ealy game because it sloews down fleeing enemies making it easier to kill, even a micro using stim pack gets free kills.Good against: Stalkers, Reapers, Roaches, Thor and any fleeing no massive ground unit.Weak against:Marine, Zergling, Zealot.Minerals: 100 Vespene: 25HP:125Range: Ranged 6Damage:10(+ 1 per upgrade)Shield:1(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Blinded - Biological.Requeriment:Barracks.Especial Abilities: Stim Pack. Reapers is a total micro unit, in other words: if you can micro them well you'll make miracles, if not you'll lose then intantly. With their Jat Pack passive ability they can jump up the cliffs assalting aganist SCV, Probes and Drones causing great damage on enemies economy.
As a bonus they do heavy damage on structures. So they are a pain-in-the-ass unit to deal with when your enemy knows what he is doing.Good against:SCV, Probes, Drones, and any light ground unit.Weak against:Marauder, Stalker, Roaches.Minerals: 50 Vespene: 50HP:50Range: Ranged 6Damage:4(+ 1 per upgrade) 5 bonus damage on light units / 30(+ 4 per upgrade) aganist buildings.Shield:0(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Light - Biological.Requeriment:Barracks.Especial Abilities: Jat Pack. This unit is amazing, you only master terran gameplay when you make proper use of ghosts in a fight to scarry enemies, landing nukes or even with destring protoss Energy Shields with EMP. Man there are so many uses for this unit that we may get a little out of breath, try to learn how proper use Ghosts in a fight and you'll win for sure.Good against:Protoss units, invisible and every unit that has EnergyWeak against:Marauder, Stalker, Zergling.Minerals: 150 Vespene: 150HP:100 Energia:200Range: Ranged 6Damage:10(+ 1 per upgrade) 10 bonus damage on light units.Shield:0(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Psionic - Biological.Requeriment:Tech Lab, Ghost Academy.Especial Abilities:Cloak, Tatical Nuke, Sniper Round, EMP Round. Well, what to say? Just fight against someone who micro Tanks well and you'll face hell. Tanks are just amazing, strong to defend your base yet stronger when well positioned in a fight on siege mode.
His damage is ricusly high even after the nerf, so place a tank well and EVERYONE will think twice before attack.Good against:Marines, Zerglins, StalkersWeak against:Thors, Immortal, Banshee.Minerals: 150 Vespene: 125HP:160 Energy:0Range: Ranged 7 normal mode/ 13 Siege mode.Damage:15 + 10 to armored (+ 2 per upgrade) normal mode / 35 + 15 to armored (+3 per upgrade / 5 to armored)Shield:1(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Armored - Mechanical.Requeriment:Factory.Especial Abilities:Siege ModeThor. Thor is a little imba for many reasons.
First he do damage.a lot of damage on ground units. Second, he kinda control air positions against mutalisk who should be extra careful when fighting him. Third, he can be repaired.even in a fight with is ridicusly strong. Watch out.Thor is here!Good against:Marines, Mutalisk, Stalkers.Weak against:Marauder, Zergling, Immortal.Minerals: 300 Vespene: 200HP:400 Energy:200Range: Ranged 7 ground/ 10 air.Damage:30 + 3 to ground (+ 3 per upgrade) / 6 + 6 to Light(+1 per upgrade)Shield:1(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Armored - Mechanical - Massive.Requeriment:Factory.Especial Abilities:250mm strike cannons. Vikings are excelent units to control air path, especially against armored units can hunt down overlords and other aircraft units.
He canbe used to deal assalt damage on unguarded bases dealing damage directly on enemies economy.Good against:Battle Cruiser, Void Ray, Corruptor.Weak against:Marine, Mutalisk, Stalker.Minerals: 150 Vespene: 75HP:125 Energy:0Range: Ranged 6 ground/ 9 air.Damage:12 to ground (+ 3 per upgrade) / 6 + 8 to Armored(+1 per upgrade)Shield:0(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Armored - Mechanical.Requeriment:Starport.Especial Abilities:Fighter mode/Assalt mode. Medvacs are great and flexible units.
In a fight it can deal good support by healing friendly units making then live much longer, otherwise you can use then to drop units on enemy unguarded base dealing lots of damage and then leave.Good against: he's a support unit, good on ground fight supporting your army.Weak against:Anti-aircraft, Stalker, Mutalisk.Minerals: 100 Vespene: 100HP:150 Energy:200Range: Ranged 5 on ground support heal.Damage: noneShield:1(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Armored - Mechanical.Requeriment:Starport.Especial Abilities:Load/Drop - HealRaven. Raven is the detector terran unit, he don't attack directly but instead he can use Auto-Turrets to deal damage and scoult a territory and Point Defence Drone to avoid some hits onyour army.Good against:Banshee, DarkTemplar, Roaches.Weak against:HighTempla, Ghost, Stalkers, Phoenix.Minerals: 100 Vespene: 200HP:140 Energy:200Range: none.Damage:noneShield:1(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Light- Mechanical.Requeriment:Starport.Especial Abilities:Build Auto-Turret / Seeker Missile / Build Point Defense Drone. This is the definitive weapon of terran forces. Battle Cruisers are expansive but strong pratically against everything, with his plus 3 or armor he can absorb low damage from weak units and yet dealing some. His Yamato Cannon skill can deal a lot of damage on a unit or structure making him a awesome unit.Good against:Thor, Mutalisk, Carrier.Weak against:Viking, Corruptor, Void Ray.Minerals: 400 Vespene: 300HP:550 Energy:200Range: Ranged 6.Damage:10 to ground (+ 1 per upgrade) / 6 (+1 per upgrade)Shield:3(+ 1 per upgrade)Attributes:Armored - Mechanical - Massive.Requeriment:Starport.Especial Abilities:Yamato Cannon.
Loading.StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty features the return of the three species from the original game: Protoss, Terran, and Zerg. In the Terran campaign, the original StarCraft briefing room is replaced with an interactive version of the battlecruiser Hyperion, with Jim Raynor, now a bitter and hard-drinking mercenary captain, as the central character.
In a departure from previous Blizzard games, the campaign is non-linear, with Raynor taking jobs for money and using that money to buy additional units and upgrades. Although each play through will vary, the end result remains consistent, keeping the storyline linear.
Blizzard's Vice President Rob Pardo stressed that each campaign will function very differently. The Terran campaign, Wings of Liberty, places players in a mercenary-style campaign, as Terran rebel group Raynor's Raiders raise funds by taking assignments from outside groups. The second release, Heart of the Swarm, is Zerg-focused and has role-playing elements. Kerrigan is the focus of the campaign, and the story revolves around the possibility of her redemption. The Protoss-themed Legacy of the Void is the final expansion, with the Protoss Artanis attempting to reunite the Protoss tribes in order to stop Amon, a fallen Xel'Naga.
